Preity tries to break the world record, but fails

Preity Zinta has finally taken a first step towards her television debut. She has started shooting for the promos of Guinness World Records - Ab India Todega, the show that she will be hosting on Colors Channel.

The actress tried to break an international record at Film City herself!

In a promo video while pulling a truck she says, “Australia ka Derek Boyer ka Guinness World Record aaj main toodoongi.”

Later she stated, “Chaliye main naa kar saki toh kya hua? India kar ke dikhadega. Ab garv se har Hindustani bolega, Guinness World record, Ab India Todega.”

This is a desi version of the international show, produced by Miditech and will be aired later this year.

Vidya Balan turns an item for ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’!

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming flick ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’, will see Vidya Balan do an item number. This is the first time, Vidya will be grooving to an item track. Earlier, we have seen Ms Balan gyrate sultrily to songs like Ooh La La and Naak Mukka in The Dirty Picture.

The actress was at a radio station in Mumbai, promoting new film ‘Kahaani’.

She said, “Mr. Vinod Chopra called me. He is my director. He asked me whether I wanted to do it or not. I was like I will absolutely do it,”

“He asked me to watch the film and hear the song first and then decide. But I would have done it anyway. “He is like a school I belong to. He respected me so much and showed me the film and the song is fun,” she added.

John’s getting old, says Bipasha Basu!

Look what Bipasha Basu has to say about John Abraham … Well, the actress wishes that her ex-beau gets married soon as he is getting old.

Bips also revealed that she is ready for marriage, as soon as she finds herself an eligible bachelor.

“Currently, there are too many men who want to date me. So I have to be careful,” she said. “If I find an eligible man who fits the bill, I’ll get married too,” she added.

Story Line:

Shankar lives in a remote village in rural India with his mother and sister, Manju, and drives a horse-carriage for a living. The main employer in the region is a kind-hearted businessman Maganlal. When Maganlal announces that he would like to undertake a religious pilgrimage, his son, Kundan, takes over and wants to cut back on labor and mechanize the business - thus leading to loss in jobs. He also introduces a bus thus taking away business from the horse-carriage drivers. This angers the community and they ask Kundan to reconsider, and he flats refuses - but agrees to withdraw the bus provided Shankar races it with his horse-carriage. Watch the action unfold as Shankar unites a divided village, and how he sets about to keep his faith in winning this race between man and machine
